For more than 20 years, I've dedicated myself to serving my community in a variety of healthcare and educational roles. Throughout my experiences—both good and bad—I came to realize just how much our communication skills matter. Technical skills are essential to becoming proficient in our professions, but I learned that those alone are not enough. Without the ability to connect with others through compassion, professionalism, and meaningful communication, we often find ourselves wondering why genuine success feels just out of reach.

This journey inspired me to start Verity Learning Group—a company focused on bridging the gap between technical expertise and human connection. The first step was creating the Compassionate Professionalism™ Series. These books were designed to help students, educators, and professionals develop the communication skills that improve patient experiences, strengthen learning, and create healthier workplace cultures.
